"Explorations in Comparative Literature" (HASS 307) gives students the opportunity to earn 3 hours summer credit through reading a dramatic selection of some of the most fascinating, resonant works in modern world literature! Kafka and Camus will be our guides to the fascinating challenges posed by modernism, absurdism, existentialism and humanitarian crisis. Join in this illuminating artistic and philosophical adventure; enjoy some spellbinding storytelling in the process! The course features a flexible reading schedule. The final short essay assignment invites students to pursue their interests and passions in fields within and beyond literature, including psychology, ethics, and humanitarian crisis.
