New major: Quantitative Biosciences and Engineering
Department / Organization: CASA
Were you thinking about adding this major? Click above for important info.
Mines has approved a new undergraduate degree, the B.S. in Quantitative Biosciences and Engineering (QBE) for the 2021 catalog. If you are interested in this major and considering a switch to it from your current planned major, please read on.
You can see an overview and information on the current planned courses for this degree in the 2021 Mines catalog. There is a sequence of brand new courses being planned for this degree, and these courses will take some time to develop and be offered, along with other logistical items to be worked out. Therefore, it is possible that switching to this degree may require additional time to graduate from the standard 4-year graduation timeline for current Mines students. The faculty are hard at work planning for the roll out of this new degree and having a better idea of the students interested in this degree will help us better plan and advise students.
To that end, if you are at all interested in this degree, can you please submit the following (extremely short) form as soon as possible: https://forms.office.com/r/SDG5ePU8Dw
We look forward to connecting with all students who submit the interest form later this summer, and will provide an update on the timeline for courses as well as info on how to proceed for students who remain interested.
