Department / Organization: Mines Foundation
Hear from HASS department leaders to learn about the offerings and initiatives that make a Mines education unique.
The Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) department is made up of faculty from many different disciplinary backgrounds. Join current and incoming (Fall 2021) department heads of HASS (previously known as Liberal Arts and International Studies, or LAIS) for an overview of their undergraduate offerings, minors, and the masters’ program in Natural Resources and Energy Policy. Department head Hussein Amery, Sandra Woodson (Ethics) and Bob Klimek (Music) will lead the discussion on how these liberal arts-focused areas of study provide engineering students with the broader socio-cultural and political contexts, and make Mines engineers unique.
