Required Safety Training

Department / Organization: Environmental Health and Safety

Environmental Health and Safety is excited to offer in-person safety training once again!

Laboratory Safety Training and Hazardous Waste Generator Training is being offered at various times throughout the semester. All laboratory personnel must complete the Laboratory Safety Training prior to beginning work in the lab. This includes graduate students who are just starting independent research in a Mines shop or lab. It also includes undergraduate students who may have been hired to work in a campus shop or lab.

Hazardous Waste Generator Training is required annually for any individual who generates chemical waste and/or purchases hazardous chemicals.

Please check out the EHS training calendar at https://www.mines.edu/ehs/training/ and register for training today! You must be connected to the Mines network to register for these classes.

Do you have a lab group or class who needs to complete Lab Safety Training? Do you want EHS to discuss other safety related topics to your class, shop or lab group? Please reach out to ehs@mines.edu to discuss your training needs.
