Remote Access to Classroom Computer Labs
Department / Organization: ITS
Remote Access to Classroom Labs Computer Labs No Longer Available through “Labby”
ITS implemented Labby to provide a temporary solution to support remote and hybrid classes during the COVID-19 disruptions. This service allowed students to easily connect remotely to physical desktop computers and software that were in our computer labs on campus. Now that we are back to in person teaching, classroom lab computers are available to use on a first come, first served basis. ITS has been piloting alternatives for providing remote access to classroom computer labs software through our Virtual Labs project and will be rolling this out into production in the Spring. In the meantime, ITS can support quarantined students who need access to lab software that is approved by the vendor for remote access. If you are a student in quarantine and you need remote access to classroom lab computer software, please submit a “Raise your Hand” ticket here: https://helpcenter.mines.edu/TDClient/1946/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=42807
