Earth Month Walks -- Thursday 5-6PM
Department / Organization: HASS / Environment and Sustainability Studies
Celebrate Earth Month and go for a walk! Thursday, April 28 5-6 pm; meet at 11th and Illinois
To celebrate April's Earth Month, the Environment and Sustainability Studies (ESS) program is inviting all members of the Mines community to join us as we take a walk and take in the surroundings. Each week, a different Mines faculty member will lead us through Golden landscapes and ask us to consider our connections to the world around us. We will walk on paved paths, and people of all abilities are welcome!
Join us this Thursday early evening for a walk and some place-based writing! We will find places along the Clear Creek to think about our perspectives on place. How do we see things? What things do we see? How can we record the details of the environment and begin to access our feelings about place? We will spend our time walking, writing, and sharing our thoughts. Facilitated by Dr. Tina Gianquitto.
