Leaving campus for the summer? Don't leave your bike behind!
Department / Organization: Public Safety
Mines Public Safety will be collecting and impounding unclaimed bicycles on campus starting May 15.
Mines Public Safety will be collecting unclaimed bicycles on campus starting May 15, 2022. Mines Police will be placing a notice of impound on all abandoned bikes on both the central campus and Mines Park starting on May 15th.
If you are remaining on campus this summer and your bike is not already registered on campus, please visit the link below.
These annual abatement efforts are completed to remove all abandoned bikes from the campus bicycle racks and reduce bike theft over the summer break. If you leave campus and don’t take your bicycle, Public Safety will impound your bike and store it for at least several months. All abandoned bicycles are eventually donated to a reputable charity.
