Classroom Improvement Committee Updates
Department / Organization: The Office of Undergraduate Studies
The Classroom Improvement Committee invites you to review progress made, based on your feedback!
Based on your feedback the Classroom Improvement Committee has begun taking action. Reported classroom technology upgrades and issues are presently being on by ITS, which includes upgrades to various projectors, audio systems, and screens. We are ensuring Chemistry labs are ADA compliant, which will be handled by Capital Planning and Design, and blinds are being replaced in several Hill Hall rooms through funding from Academic Affairs.
The committee is assessing how to best tackle the remaining improvements. One of the most reported areas of improvement are classroom chairs; in response, two demo chairs were placed in Brown W210 and W280 for trail and feedback. We are currently working with the student body to get chairs replaced in five of the Brown Building rooms (BB 125, BB 253, BB W210, BB W250, and BB W280), pending student government approval to use student fee funding toward this project.
We invite you to view the following detailed list of improvements by building: https://mines0-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/personal/lesalinas_mines_edu/EQMfm8DnEclLl-EGcnIdsKwBPryG4fF7IGyC4frgP7226w?e=KYe70d
Please note that given the volume of responses, we will not be sending another survey for classroom improvements in the coming year and will instead focus on addressing the list of concerns already received. We want to thank you for contributing to the continued improvement of our campus!
