I Just Got Assigned to Manage a Project! What Now?
Department / Organization: CCIT
Mines Project Portfolio Management is offering 3 project-management courses for staff. Learn about project processes and procedures, and how to sponsor, manage, or participate in a well-run project.
Training is a key component of the CCIT-sponsored Project Portfolio Management initiative currently underway at Mines. To support this initiative, three courses are now available for staff. These courses will enhance staff knowledge and understanding of general project-management principles and specific Mines processes and procedures for managing projects.
The three courses are:
Introduction to Project Management: For anyone participating in a project or needing a basic understanding of the project-delivery process and how it works. There are no prerequisites for this class.
Process Workshop: A follow-on to the Introduction class for people who are/will be managing projects. The prerequisite for this course is the Introduction class.
Project Sponsorship: For anyone who is or will be sponsoring a project. There are no prerequisites for this class.
Find more information about all the classes and register for them here: http://inside.mines.edu/PPM-Training.
If you have any questions about the training or project management in general, please contact Clayton Durkee at cdurkee@mines.edu or X3019.
