Title IX Survey
Department / Organization: Institutional Compliance & Equity
The survey was sent to All Undergraduate and Graduate Students over the age of 18.
Mines Faculty & Staff:
This week, undergraduate and graduate students will receive an email invitation to participate in the Mines Student Title IX Survey. It is the first university-wide survey to collect information about student perceptions, attitudes, and opinions about social behavior related to sexual misconduct at Mines. The Title IX office hopes to use the survey results to: · Provide enhanced resources and support to students; and · Continue to improve response and prevention efforts around sexual misconduct for the safety of our entire community.
The survey was developed by members of the Mines SHAPE committee as well as survey experts from the Mines Office of Institutional Research, using materials derived from a Massachusetts Institute of Technology open-sourced survey.
The survey is anonymous. All undergraduate and graduate students over the age of 18 will receive a link to the survey via their Mines email address. This link does not contain any information that could identify the recipient and a student’s identity cannot be traced through the survey link. Most students will be able to complete the survey in 10-15 minutes.
Please note that students may have emotional responses due to survey questions regarding sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence. You can find resources for Mines students who may need support during or after their participation in the survey here: https://inside.mines.edu/POGO-Title-IX-Resources
