Stop by to learn more about the GCSP, a curricular/extra-curricular program focused on the Grand Challenges of Engineering! Speak to current students in the program and eat FREE PIZZA!
Mines recently joined more than 40 universities from around the world to establish a Grand Challenges Scholars Program, sponsored by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). This program focuses on five pillars: Interdisciplinary Curriculum, Service Learning, Entrepreneurship, Global Awareness, and Research or Project-Based Learning. Upon completion, students receive a designation from the NAE as a Grand Challenges Scholar.
At this kickoff and information session-- held as part of Mines Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week-- you can learn more about the program, talk to students who are part of the Grand Challenges Council, and find out how to apply.
Lunch will be provided on the hour (at 11am and again at noon!). Check out our website for more information: http://grandchallenges.mines.edu
