Malki Pinkas earned her B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. all in Materials Engineering, from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. She has been a researcher in the metallurgy laboratory at Nuclear Research Center, Negev (NRCN) since 2004. Dr. Pinkas has previously been a visiting scientist at the Colorado School of Mines and is currently a visiting scientist at the Riman Research Group at Rutgers University. Her main subjects of interest include physical metallurgy of metallic systems and processing, thin films and coatings, advanced methods of materials characterization, transmission electron microscopy, advanced nondestructive evaluation of materials and sapphire strengthening.
