Do You Feel Lucky About Your New Project?
Department / Organization: CCIT
"You've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky (about my project)? Well do ya?" Even if you do, read on... CCIT has a new process for requesting help for your technology-related projects.
The new request process for technology-related projects is here and ready for your new project submissions. It allows for appropriate review of requests and helps CCIT better understand the existing demand and the corresponding resources needed.
This process is another step in the CCIT-sponsored Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) initiative that will improve our ability to deliver institutional projects in a timely, resource-efficient, and transparent manner. This process replaces the hallway discussion or quick e-mail to request a project. It ensures that requests are appropriately captured and have the necessary visibility. It also brings a more thoughtful and structured approach to where we apply our finite resources.
To start the request process for projects with technology as a part, please complete the on-line form at http://inside.mines.edu/PPM-Request. The request will then be reviewed, prioritized and, if applicable, scheduled as resources are available. In the near future, a list of the projects and requests will be available on the Project Reporting page of the PPM website. This will allow people to see the current status of their requests or projects.
If you have questions or need help with the request form, please contact Clayton Durkee at cdurkee@mines.edu or x3019.
