Apply to be a Grand Challenges Scholar by Oct. 20th!
Department / Organization: University Honors & Scholars
Want to be a world-changer? Choose a pathway that prepares you, and be recognized by the National Academy of Engineering!
This Scholars program is organized by the National Academy of Engineering and is a way to get a “distinction” at Mines without having to pursue a minor or second major. Uniquely, you can complete the program in large part through activities outside of your coursework. It is designed for students who are motivated to tackle some of the big problems in engineering and science and who are willing to seek out the knowledge and skills needed to prepare themselves for facing such problems.
The Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP) is accepting applications from all Mines students through October 20th. Join a community of scholars as you follow your purpose, pursue your interests, and integrate your coursework, extra-curricular activities and clubs, minors, and more into your personalized pathway. GCSP will help you improve your capabilities in five areas key for solving the complex problems of today. Become more of an interdisciplinary thinker, learn from serving and leading, build entrepreneurship skills, become more globally aware, and build your abilities through research/project experiences. Completion of the program requirements results in an honor cord, recognition from employers that you have skills they are looking for, and certification from the National Academy of Engineering!
The adventure is yours to design! Apply to join this community of scholars today. Deadline is October 20th. http://bit.ly/GCSP-Apply.
