Lead with Empathy: Survivor Response Training

Department / Organization: SHAPE

Join the SHAPE Office on 12/19 9am-12pm to learn how to empathetically engage with students who experience sexual violence.

The SHAPE Office, in partnership with OIE, is hosting Survivor Response Training. Survivor Response Training offers participants knowledge and skills to appropriately respond to student disclosures of sexual violence.

After completing the training, participants will be asked if they are willing to serve as a visible resource for students. Participants who agree to serve as a resource will receive an “I believe you” laminated badge to display near their work space or office. Students were provided with information about the “I believe you” program during Orientation and know what to look for if they need support.

Interested participants can register by filling out the form link below. If you are interested but cannot attend the Dec training, there is an option on the form to denote interest in future dates. Space is limited, so please sign up early!
