On Wed. Feb. 15 (12:00-12:50) in Marquez 322, Ms. Wathke, who is part of the Stakeholder Relations Team at Anadarko, will discuss community engagement from the perspective of a petroleum company.
As part of the Speakers Series for the Energy Politics class (LAIS498A, Prof. Kathleen Hancock), Kimberly Wathke will talk about community engagement. Ms. Wathke is part of the Stakeholder Relations Team at Anadarko Petroleum and leads their proactive engagement efforts within the communities in which Anadarko operates. The Stakeholder team helps identify shared values and opportunities to align operational practices with the needs of the communities along the Front Range. Kimberly began her oil and natural gas career with Anadarko Petroleum five years ago. Prior to joining oil and gas, Kimberly spent three years in the financial sector and 10 years in sales & marketing. Kimberly was born and raised in New York City and moved to Colorado to attend Colorado State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science in 2006. She is passionate about education and the quest to always learn.
