Guitar Ensemble Class at the Mines!

Department / Organization: HASS

Here at the Mines, you can take Guitar Ensemble class (LIMU 121 A; CRN: 11509) for credit this spring!

Have you ever wanted to play the guitar? Or do you already play it? Here at the Mines, you can take Guitar Ensemble class (LIMU 121 A; CRN: 11509) for credit this spring! The class will meet twice per week on Monday and Wednesday from 1:00-1:50pm. You can think of this as a small guitar orchestra. No experience necessary, and we do have a limited number of free loaner guitars. Along the way you'll learn how to read music in standard notation on guitar and basic music theory. By the end of the semester the class will be competent enough to play in a public concert on campus. Remember that guitarists of all level, including total beginners, are welcome to this class. The fall semester guitar ensemble is performing in a concert in a couple of weeks on December 2 at 4pm; please check us out! It’ll be at HASS Performance Space next to the Music School at 1301 19th Street, and admission is free.
