CASA Welcomes New Staff Members!

CASA is proud to welcome Jen Drumm and Lisa McDowell as new professional staff members! Click to read more about their respective roles!
Jen Drumm (jdrumm@mines.edu) joins CASA as the Associate Director for Academic Services and Advising. In this position, Jen directs all of CASA's advising efforts and works collaboratively with departments to ensure accurate, timely, and holistic advisement.
Jen Drumm is originally from Southern California, and left to pursue her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and her master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut. She worked in First Year Programs at the University of Washington and then moved to Gunnison, where she served as the Director of the Academic Resource Center at Western State Colorado University. Jen is pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education from Azusa Pacific University. She is married to Eric and has two children, ages 3 (CJ) and 7 (Charis).
Lisa McDowell (lmcdowel@mines.edu) joins CASA as an Academic Advising Coordinator. Lisa joins Jessica Keefer, Amy Dupont, and Amanda Davis as the fourth professional advisor. In this capacity, Lisa will advise approximately 400 students per term. In addition, Lisa coordinates institutional retention efforts such as mid-term grade outreach as well as Bounce Back.
Lisa is a Mines Alumnus (Petroleum Engineering, '06). Most recently, Lisa worked in Admissions as an Admissions Counselor. Lisa holds a Master's of Arts in Student Affairs and Higher Education from UCCS. Lisa will be getting married later this year.
