Christian Challenge Weekly Meeting
Department / Organization: Mines' Christian Challenge
Christian Challenge's weekly meeting is a time for fellowship, free food, and a message from the Bible!
Christian Challenge weekly meeting is for anyone interested in learning about Jesus and the good news! We plan to meet on Wednesday at 7 PM in Marquez 204 most nights, and have the service start with some ice breaker(s), worship songs, and later a message from the Bible. We will be going through the Gospel of John this semester with some intermittent miscellaneous messages or activities, such as apologetics or parties, possible. And we will be handing out free food! Feel free to stay after the message to get some food and drink, and we also encourage participation in recreational activities to foster friendships and community. We hope that all this will better facilitate fellowship, understanding of God's word and His will for us, and ultimately faith in Christ. We welcome individuals with disabilities to attend our meetings. If you require an accommodation in order to participate in this event, please contact Charles Vath by the Tuesday prior to a weekly meeting at cavath@mines.edu. Advance notice may be necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs. (Addendum): In addition, the end time is somewhat open-ended; while we are technically scheduled to end at 9:00 PM, its probably fine to go later in discussion or an activity with other attendees so long as no one needs the room we are in, and one shouldn't feel pressured to stay the full time, as we plan to finish up the message by 8:15 PM latest.
