Dr. Jason Luck of Lockheed Martin will present "Lockheed Martin’s Autonomous Systems Group and Applications in Autonomy, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence”
ABSTRACT: Jason’s talk will first provide an overview of the work performed at Lockheed Martin’s Autonomous Systems group in Littleton Colorado, including our vision for how this work will shape the fu-ture. Our group performs cutting edge research in autonomy for groups across Lockheed Martin, government customers like DARPA (including the well-known DARPA autonomous automobile chal-lenges), and the commercial domain. Our areas of expertise include: Ground Vehicle Autonomy, Col-laborative Autonomy, 3D World Modelling, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. Jason will then go into technical detail for some of the programs we have worked. For example DARPA’s Video Im-age Retrieval and Analysis Tool (VIRAT), which aimed to automate the analysis of video coming off of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) such as the Predator UAV, making searching for actions in video as easy as searching for text with Google.
