Mines Annual Denim Day Photo 12:45p Guggenheim Hall Steps
Department / Organization: SHAPE
Join today in this tradition of visible support for survivors of sexual assault on our 10th year of doing Denim Day
Colorado Denim Day is about supporting survivors of sexual assault visibly by wearing jeans with a purpose.
Despite much more public awareness about sexual violence, many myths and stereotypes exist, such as victim-blaming based upon what the person was wearing at the time. This is how Denim Day got started back in the 90s but is still very relevant today. Survivors of assault are never to blame for the harmful actions another person chooses.
This is Mines 10th Annual Denim Day photo so please make the time to join for a group photo - students, employees we want to pack the steps of Guggenheim!
