$500 Classroom Experience Award

Earn a $500 scholarship by enrolling in the 1-3 variable credit course, Early Field Experience(SCED262/562), this Fall.
The Teach@Mines Noyce Teaching Classroom Experience Award seeks to encourage passionate Mines students to explore (K–12) teaching by providing paid classroom experiences. Students will spend time in local schools, gaining first-hand experience of the profession, and will earn a $500 stipend for enrolling in SCED262/562 K-12 Field Experience and successfully completing 25 hours in a K-12 classroom. Please note: You can also earn work study for any additional field hours.
- $500 stipend - Must be enrolled in SCED262/562 and complete 25 hours of field experience. - Students may use work study funds the same term as receiving a Noyce internship for any hours worked in the classroom after the first 25 hours. - Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
1) Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien. 2) Have not previously been awarded a Noyce Scholarship, or Stipend. 3) Enroll in SCED262/562 the term you are applying for the award. 4) The funds will be awarded once you have completed 25 hours in your mentor’s classroom 5) Will respond to all emails from Noyce personnel in a timely manner.
