Summer Sustainability Tip - Simple Steps to Better Air

Department / Organization: Sustainability

Tips to improve air quality during high ozone months

In Denver, Ozone levels from vehicles are highest during the summer months because of the heat that traps pollution at ground-level. Exposure to ground-level ozone can cause respiratory problems and other health issues. YOU can make a difference by reducing your personal emissions by biking to work, carpooling, taking public transportation, or working remotely at least 2 days per week during high ozone months. The Ore Cart picks up travelers at the Jeffco Government Center train station and offers free rides to and from campus.
