oSTEM National Conference Registration
Department / Organization: oSTEM
The Mines oSTEM chapter will be attending the National Conference this October. Click the link to sign up for a possible spot
As many of you may know, oSTEM is a national organization dedicated to queer people in STEM, and I’m delighted to let everyone know that our chapter will be attending the oSTEM National Conference this October (17th-20th)! This message is here to give you some information about the conference and our sign-ups for attendance.
The 14th Annual oSTEM Conference will take place in Portland, OR with 1,100+ LGBTQ+ students, professionals, and recruiters in STEM fields from across the country and around the globe. This space is designed for attendees to share their professional and personal experiences and learn from one another in an authentic and vulnerable way.
Programs and content range from introspective (e.g., safer spaces to talk about queer issues and career development) to technical (e.g., discussing the latest in research conducted by our members). The Career & Graduate School Expo allows attendees to connect and network with professionals, academics, and colleagues from STEM industries and universities.
We will cover all trip expenses for selected attendees, including (but not limited to) round-trip airfare, shared lodging (4/room), and full-access conference passes. As a reminder, we're looking for students who have a strong interest in learning and networking in an authentic and vulnerable way with other LGBTQ+ individuals, as the National Conference is a huge opportunity for professional development.
