Our fourth Pathways Explorations Series speaker is Fran Vallejo on Oct 16!

Fran Vallejo ’87 is a retired executive of ConocoPhillips and is a Director for three energy companies. She started her career as a geophysicist and moved into finance and management roles, including Treasurer and Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development. Vallejo earned her BS in Mineral Engineering Mathematics from Mines and was a standout student. She was a Boettcher Scholar and was awarded the Outstanding Senior Award from the McBride Honors Program and the E-Day Engineer Award for the mathematics department. She also went on to earn her MBA from Rice University. She earned the Mines Distinguished Achievement Medal in 2016. Vallejo has served in a number of capacities as a Mines volunteer, having served on the Mines Board of Trustees from 2010 to 2016, and is the current Vice Chair of the Mines Foundation.
About the Pathways Explorations Series The Pathways Explorations Series features large-scale, TED-style talks where motivating and inspiring speakers tell their personal, academic and professional stories to our Mines campus community. The talks are required for CSM 101 students to learn about the many possible academic and career pathways available to them. The talks are open to all Mines students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
