Got Robots? Want Robots?
Department / Organization: CECS
Attend the Faculty/Researcher mini-symposium on Robotics, Automation, Autonomous Systems and their Applications at Mines on Monday March 20 1-4PM in MZ 204
The VPRTT's office, in collaboration with the CECS Dean's Office and the Department of Mining Engineering, is pleased to present the next in a series of mini-symposia aimed at connecting Mines researchers with common interests. The goals are to let people around campus know what each other are doing and hopefully develop some collaborative efforts, possibly even leading to institution-wide initiatives.
The next mini-symposium will be on robotics, automation, and autonomous systems. This includes autonomous ground vehicles, unmanned air vehicles, drones, and more!
At Mines we have a decent mix of robotics technology-level expertise and field applications. In the area of robotics there have been some recent opportunities that we could potentially capitalize on if we got ourselves organized. We should get organized! If you are developing technology used in robotics, automation, and autonomous systems, if you are developing such systems , or if you use these systems or technologies in your field applications, please consider joining us.
The meeting agenda will include an overview of robotics, automation, and autonomous systems research at Mines, followed by a series of lightning talks, and concluding some moderated discussions about what we could do in the future.
Please RSVP by clicking the link below by 3/16/17. Snacks will be provided. If you wish to give a 5 minute lightning talk about your research interests on this topic, please email Kevin Moore.
