Department / Organization: ASHRAE Shane Newman is a PE working in the Denver HVAC industry. He will be presenting on his experience with CFD for modeling airflow in buildings. Wednesday March, 22nd 5:30pm in BBW475 - FREE PIZZA!
Shane is an ASHARE and ASME member, has been an HVAC engineer in the Denver metro area for the past 14 ½ years, and has worked on projects ranging from resorts and offices to higher education, healthcare, labs, and pharmaceutical manufacturing plants. During this time, he has performed CFD modeling simulations for airflow inside and outside of buildings for a total of approximately 3 ½ years. Shane will give an overview of the CFD modeling process , discuss modeling results performed for a pharmaceutical cleanroom, and give an overview of the SimScale CFD software. He holds a BSME from the University of Colorado at Denver, having graduated in 2002.
