Looking for Summer 2025 room and board while being a mentor for high school students? Apply to work for SUMMET at Mines!
Want to make a lasting impact on high school students while having a blast? Become a SUMMET Resident Mentor this June! As a mentor, you’ll play an active, hands-on role in guiding 40 high school students each week through Mines’ exciting summer admissions camp. Think of it as being a camp counselor, but with a twist of academic adventure!
Your days will include leading check-ins, walking students to classes, and making sure they have fun during meals and social activities. You’ll supervise dinner, plan fun evening events, and ensure students follow the camp’s rules while staying in the dorms. Plus, you’ll get to stay on campus and experience all the action up close! Room and board are provided if needed, so you’ll be set to dive into the full experience.
Mentors may work from 7am to midnight, leading activities, ensuring safety, and supporting students as they explore college life. You’ll report to the SUMMET Director(s), help students feel welcome, and make their time at SUMMET unforgettable. This is a perfect opportunity to gain leadership skills while having fun in a unique and supportive environment.
We’re looking for mentors with open availability throughout June, but we're flexible if you need a specific schedule! The program runs from May 1 to July 1, 2025, and may work up to 40 hours per week.
