Freezing Winter Temperatures are Finally Here!
Department / Organization: Facilities Management With subzero temperatures expected in Denver this weekend, your facilities team is preparing buildings and need your support.
In anticipation of subzero temperatures hitting the Denver area this weekend, your facilities team is preparing to do the following: • Buildings will be left in an “occupied” mode, which means systems will run continuously all weekend to protect equipment and buildings. • Temperatures inside buildings will fluctuate – some areas will actually feel warmer than normal. • The HVAC team will be monitoring temperatures and alarms throughout the weekend How you can help: • Keep windows closed during this cold weekend, even if an area seems a bit warmer than normal • Don’t prop open exterior doors • Close fume hood sashes! This keeps the need for outdoor air makeup to a minimum. • If you happen to observe an interior space that is particularly cold (nearing freezing), please call the FM main number at 303-273-3330 Thank you and stay warm!
