Mines Chemists Who Code Office Hrs We meet the first friday of the month at 10-11 in CO 137 (library off the atrium) Have a programming issue? We can help! This event is open to grad students, postdocs, faculty and undergrad students! Drop in for help: • Making python figures • Running esoteric code you received from a collaborator • Debugging the ChatGPT code you “wrote” to make a slow task faster • Setting up chemical simulations on the HPC • Consultation to see if it’s worth automating something • Other programming/computer related questions! Our volunteers have expertise in: • Python • Matlab • R • Julia • Shell/bash • C++ • JMP • LaTeX Stop by for some light snacks and programming help, or just hang out and work on your own project! (*we have $ for gluten free/vegan snacks - just ask!) If there is interest, we may organize special themed meetings focused on a central topic such as version control software (git/github), object oriented programming, chemical simulations or other programming languages. **This event is sponsored by the US Research Software Engineering Society (USRSE)** Looking to add a programming-related conference presentation to your CV?
