SPOON CARVING with Scott Braun
Come join us in the CoorsTek Atrium from about 9:30ish to 4:30ish every day next week, from Wednesday, March 26th through Friday, April 4th. Visiting artist Scott Braun will be on hand teaching spoon carving. If you can manage to stay for a couple of hours or so, you can walk away with your own nifty wooden spoon!
But, that’s not all! Scott is also bringing his Decency Project to Campus back for a second visit where ”finding connection and community through shared labor is at the core”. He will spend most of his week-long visit in the CoorsTek Atrium, engaging with students, teaching them to carve spoons and having conversations. You can view pictures of Scotts work and the Decency Project here: https://www.scottbraun.com/the-decency-project.
If you can invest ten minutes, the best way to learn about the Decency Project is to watch the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFclAnzknh0
