Sustainable Earth Resources MNGN 298 / 598 Summer Field Course, May 11 to 16
Visit, study, discuss and debate sustainable earth resources in this field-based course. Tour sites in the Four Corners region linked to coal, oil and gas, uranium, solar, and wind. Examine environmental and social challenges around sustainability, development, and energy transitions, with an emphasis on community perspectives and visits to Ute and Navajo Nations. Lodging, meals, and travel from Mines included at no cost. Students pay only the tuition cost. Open to undergraduate and graduate students.
This course uses field-based learning to immerse you in the excitement and challenges of earth resources and energy transitions. We will travel every day in vans and will camp most nights (help is available for necessary gear). The course is jointly run with professors and students from Fort Lewis College.
