Take Back the Night TONIGHT!

Join the Mines community in supporting survivors of sexual violence and working towards a culture of awareness and prevention
Take Back the Night begins at 5pm in Ballrooms B & C in the Student Center!
Here is what you can expect during TBTN:
5-6:15PM: Welcome, Performer Ebony Stewart
Location: Ballroom C
6:15-7:00PM: Survivor speak-out: Listen to the stories of survivors of interpersonal violence and visibly demonstrate support.
Location: Ballroom C
5-7:30: What Were You Wearing Installation: Dispel victim-blaming myths by interacting with these survivor stories of sexual violence told through a visual display of clothes
Location: Ballroom C
5-7:30PM: Resource Fair: Learn from campus and community partners about available resources, education and prevention opportunities, and organizations that empower students.
Location: Ballroom B
5-7:30PM: Self Care Space: Take care of yourself when needed throughout the night in the Self Care space equipped with tea, fidget toys, coloring pages, and calming music
Location: Avery Room
Note: Take Back the Night is a nationally recognized movement across colleges and universities in the U.S. that serves to bring awareness and combat sexual assault on college campuses. This event coincides with the month of April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
