Join the USGS for usability research sessions on campus!
Department / Organization: U.S. Geological Survey
The USGS is hosting usability sessions for our earthquake and landslide webpages.
The U.S. Geological Survey is holding user experience (UX) research sessions right here on the Mines campus! You are invited to participate in usability research sessions for USGS webpages to provide feedback to aid in the development and design of these pages. Our goals are to understand how, when, and what our users are interacting with on our earthquake and landslide webpages. We will do this by observing users through on-camera and screen recordings while they navigate and use our webpages and by asking open-ended questions. Sessions are booked for 1-hour, but the activity itself is expected to take 30-40 minutes. Please plan to attend the full hour. If interested, you must sign up by Thursday, 4/24 at 4:00 pm MT. Arrive for your appointment 10-minutes early to get through security. Plan to stay the full hour. Bring a government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.). You will have to check in with security and go through a metal detector (bags will also go through metal detector and are subject to search). If you arrive without signing up or without an ID, you will not be permitted inside the building. Refreshments provided!
