Craft Swap! May 20th, 12-2 pm Student Center ballroom A
Department / Organization: LGBT+ MCA
Are you a crafter or artist with unwanted supplies? Drop off your items, browse other items, and take them back with you!
The LGBTQ+ MCA will be hosting a Craft Swap next month, on Tuesday, May 20th! If you are a crafter, painter, fiber artist, or find yourself with unwanted and extra art/craft supplies this event is for you! Simply bring some extra or unwanted supplies, browse what others have brought, and take what you want back with you!
This is a completely free event geared towards reducing overall craft and art waste, as well as saving everyone a little bit of money by trading supplies with each other. Declutter for the spring, expand your own supplies with new materials, and build community with us at the same time!
This event is open to ALL of campus! Please feel free to share this with your coworkers, faculty, students, etc.
Examples of supplies you can bring: Yarn and fabric Sewing supplies, thread, embroidery hoops, buttons Beads/jewelry making supplies Paint, pens, markers, coloring supplies Paper, scrapbooking or journaling supplies Brushes, inks, stamps, canvas, sculpting tools, scissors Foam, pipe cleaners, glitter, stickers
Any supplies that are not taken by the end of the event will be donated either to the Labriola Center here on campus, or to ReCreative Denver - a resale and craft event place that provides the community with classes, community space, and free workshops!
