McBride Practicum Symposium 5/1, 5-7PM, Arthur Lakes Library
Department / Organization: McBride Honors Program
What would you do if you got to create your own 3-credit learning adventure?
One of the signature ways that students in the McBride Honors Program explore their worlds is through the practicum experience. Every student in the program gets to design their own "learning adventure" that is driven by their passions, curiosities, and interests. Students pursue areas of study that they would never have the opportunity to in their traditional educational pathways.
The first annual McBride Practicum Exhibition and Symposium is an opportunity for you to check out some of the amazing work that McBriders are doing in their practicums!
Join us on Thursday, May 1st, 5-7PM, in the Boettcher Room in the Library for an evening of food and conversation. We will have light food and drink and a slate of amazing speakers. Students will present their work and field questions for the first hour or so, and then the second hour is an opportunity to mix, mingle and learn more. A few teasers include: Vernacular Architecture; Regenerative Ranching; The Art of Slowing Down; and Painting My Way to Recovery.
This event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome! We hope to see you there!
