ALL YOU NEED IS *SNOW* TO FINISH YOUR HUMANITIES REQUIREMENT
Department / Organization: HASS
INTERESTED IN SCIENCE FICTION, REMOTE MOUNTAIN REGIONS, GRAPHIC ART, PHOTOPGRAPHY, MIDDLE EASTERN STUDIES, OR SNOWFLAKES?
SAVE YOUR PLACE IN HASS 418 (SUMMER ONE) BY MAY 2. This summer's version of "Narrating the Nation" promises to be a pleasurable, succinct way for students to make crucial progress in their quest for graduation. Tackle your upper-level Humanities requirement in late May, early June by reading one fantastic novel. Nobel Laureate Orhan Pamuk's experimental, multidisciplinary science-fiction/political thriller *Snow* is the sole reading assignment. The course is designed to give students ample time to continue with their favorite seasonal activities or other responsibilities inside or outside campus. You'll be free to pursue your passions in the one essay assignment, which can address topics ranging from geography, religion, and Middle Eastern studies to science fiction, poetry or climate science.
Let's make summer one/"Narrating the Nation" work for you! Please contact Jay Straker with any questions or concerns: jstraker@mines.edu
