International Student Guide to Employer Convos TODAY
Department / Organization: Career Center
Discuss resources and recommendations for job searching and discussing work authorization with employers!
When it comes to networking and having conversations with employers in today’s job search, International Students should be prepared to have conversations about work authorization and sponsorship. Networking is an effective job search strategy, which can be especially helpful for international students looking to work in the US under OPT or CPT. This Career Center workshop is intended to help international students feel confident and prepared when networking with employers for Career Days and well after Career Days. This workshop will cover brief information about preparing for the upcoming Career Days, with tailored information about work authorization conversations with recruiters and resources to help find companies that hire international talent! All grade levels and majors welcome. Food will be provided!
Can’t attend a workshop or Rapid Resume Review? Remember, the Career Center has drop-in hours Monday-Friday from 2-4pm (virtual drop-ins on Fridays 9/5 & 9/12), or you can schedule a 1-1 advising appointment on DiggerNet!
Colorado School of Mines is committed to providing appropriate accommodations to students with disabilities so that all students have meaningful access to all programs and services. Please contact the Career Center (careercenter@mines.edu) with any accommodation requests or concerns.
