Applications are being accepted for Fall 2025 funding to support students to become science, math, and CS teachers.
The Teach@Mines Noyce Scholarship & Stipend Program seeks to encourage and enable Mines students to become science, mathematics, and computer science teachers. The scholarship program is intended for students either in their junior/senior years or who have already graduated with a bachelor's degree and who would like to pursue a teaching career in science, mathematics, or computer science. The value of the scholarship is between $12,500 - $15,000 ($12,500 for in-state/MS students and $15,000 for out of state students) per semester. Undergraduate students may receive up to six semesters worth of funding and graduate students may receive up to two semesters of funding. Scholarship recipients are required to complete one year of teaching in a high-needs school district for every semester of scholarship received.
Eligible applicants must meet the following required criteria: 1) Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident alien. 2) Plan to earn licensure through Teach@Mines. 3) Be willing to work as a science, math, or computer science teacher in a high-needs school one year for every semester of scholarship received. 4) Have completed at least 60 credit hours of college coursework. 5) Be in good academic standing according to the Mines Registrar.
