Join us as Dr. Marc Elmouttie highlights CSIRO’s latest mining innovations in safety, automation, and sensor technologies
Dr. Marc Elmouttie is a research physicist with a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Queensland in collaboration with the CSIRO Australia Telescope National Facility. He currently serves as Acting Research Director for the Sustainable Mining Technologies Research Program at CSIRO Minerals, which brings together around 100 staff and affiliates. The program’s research and development efforts focus on mine safety and environmental performance, mine automation, and digital solutions to enhance mine connectivity.
Marc’s own research specializes in fused sensor technologies, advancing sensing and monitoring applications across mining, industrial, and aerospace domains. In his talk, he will highlight CSIRO’s current activities and initiatives within the mining sector.
