Join us at the Kickstart Dialogue Facilitation Workshop
Department / Organization: Kickstart
Gain skills that are crucial for cross-cultural communication to be a thoughtful contributor to your community and workplace.
Here is an upcoming opportunity from the Kickstart Dialogue Program here at Mines to get Dialogue Facilitation Trained! This opportunity is for ALL members of the Mines community including students, faculty AND staff.
What is dialogue? Dialogue is a conversation model that centers human experiences and transforms understanding of a topic instead of agreement on a topic.
Why Dialogue? Strong dialogue skills are essential in today’s world. Whether you’re preparing for your career, leading teams, or working with diverse groups, the ability to listen deeply, navigate differences, and communicate with empathy sets you apart. Dialogue training equips you with practical tools to build trust, foster collaboration, and address conflict constructively—skills that strengthen academic work, professional relationships, and everyday interactions.
What is Kickstart? Kickstart is a student-led program at Colorado School of Mines dedicated to fostering open, empathetic dialogue around challenging and sensitive topics, creating spaces for meaningful conversations that build understanding and strengthen campus culture.
This semester’s theme: In the dialogues this semester, Kickstart will be exploring the topic “What is our individual responsibility to our community?” Please join Kickstart to broaden our understandings of community, freedom, and social responsibility.
