Department / Organization: Mines Rover Club
Join the Mines Rover Club info session Sept 23 @ 6 PM in Metals Hall, Green Center!
The Mines Rover Club is a brand-new student organization dedicated to designing, building, and testing a fully functional rover to compete in the University Rover Challenge (URC) and other competitions. Our team is made up of students from a variety of majors who work together on mechanical design, electrical systems, software development, and mission planning.
Members gain hands-on experience in robotics, systems engineering, and project management while contributing to an exciting, real-world challenge that mirrors the work of space exploration companies and agencies. Beyond competition, the club also serves as a community for students passionate about space, robotics, and engineering innovation.
Whether you’re interested in CAD and manufacturing, coding and controls, power systems, science payloads, or even outreach and project management, there’s a place for you on the team. No prior experience is required—just curiosity, dedication, and a willingness to learn.
