Abstract:
Large Language Models (LLMs) are used across industries to more accurately and efficiently accomplish a wide range of tasks. One industry where LLMs are being actively tested and implemented is healthcare.
My research over the last six months has focused on developing products that perform audits of clinical documentation, create summaries of clinician visits, and pre-fill lengthy medical forms. This talk will provide an overview of the process required to bring a product from inception to market, including choosing a base model, fine-tuning, applying Quantized Low-Rank Adaptation (QLoRA), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and data creation.
