WOAA presents: Q+A with Ruby Nicholson from Bioveritas
Department / Organization: WOAA
WOAA will have a Q+A with Ruby Nicholson from BioVeritas about her career in the sustainable fuels sector - pizza provided!
About the Speaker: Ruby Nicholson holds a B.S. and M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. She has been with BioVeritas for over two years, where she leads carbon accounting and carbon reduction strategies, in addition to supporting marketing and business development efforts in the rapidly evolving bio-based fuels industry.
During her talk, Ruby will discuss: Her journey from engineering into industry How marketing and business development function in a bio-technology startup Challenges and opportunities in scaling sustainable technologies Insights from her work at BioVeritas and how engineering, commercialization, and sustainability intersect
About BioVeritas: BioVeritas is commercializing a SAF technology to bridge abundant biomass feedstocks with the established but feedstock-constrained HEFA SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) process, enabling growth and low carbon-intensity. Its core innovation is the BioVeritas Process™, a mixed-culture fermentation process that converts a diverse range of biomass feedstocks (such as agricultural residues, waste streams, and cellular materials) into valuable bio-chemicals that can seamlessly flow into existing SAF conversion technology.
We hope you’ll join us for this insightful session-and bring your questions about innovation in sustainability, industry challenges, and the future of bio-based technologies. There will be food provided!
