Latine MCA Presents: Recuerdos y Calaveras Day of the Dead
Department / Organization: Latine MCA
Join LMCA for Día de los Muertos! Write a memory for the Ofrenda to honor those that have passed and decorate a Sugar Skull
Join Latine MCA as we celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a beautiful tradition that honors and remembers loved ones who have passed. This isn't a sad occasion; it's a vibrant celebration of life and memory!
We invite you to participate in two central activities:
Community Ofrenda (Altar): Take a moment to write a note, share a memory, or simply reflect on someone you cherish. Your message will become part of our collective altar, helping to guide the spirits of our loved ones home.
Sugar Skull (Calavera) Decoration: Get creative at our decoration station! Design your own sugar skull using colorful icing and decorations—a festive and sweet symbol of life.
Come learn about this rich cultural tradition, share in the memories, and connect with your community. All are welcome!
When: Friday October 31st Halloween from 12:00pm-2:00pm! Where: MEP House
