Teach@Mines offers courses and pathways to obtain a K-12 teaching license
Teach@Mines offers teacher licensure in Secondary Science (grades 6-12), Secondary Mathematics (grades 6-12), Middle Grades Mathematics (grades 6-8), and K-12 Computer Science. Licensure can be pursued through one of three pathways: by adding our minor, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Design Engineering with a focus on STEM teaching, or through a Masters in STEM Education. Spring 2026 courses include: - SCED262/562 K-12 Field Experience & Building Student Relationships - SCED398/598 Developmental & Educational Psychology (NEW!) - SCED363/563 Dynamic Teaching* - SCED445/545 Physics & Chemistry Teaching Techniques - MAED425/MAED525 Pre-Algebra & Algebra Teaching Techniques - CSED435/CSED535 Computer Science Teaching Techniques *CAS mid-level elective **CAS 400-level elective
