Join us in building the first spacecraft to be designed, assembled, and manifested from Mines!
Ever wanted to build a real satellite? Our student-led CubeSat team is designing a mission to detect orbital debris using RF wave-scattering technology — and we’re looking for passionate students from all majors to join the journey!
This year, we’re not just building — we’re also laying the groundwork for the next generation of CubeSat proposals, giving club members the chance to lead their own missions in future years ??
Whether you’re into mechanical design, coding, space systems, or just love space, this is your chance to get hands-on experience and help launch Mines’ next satellite into orbit ?? No Experience Necessary, Freshmen Welcome!
The first meeting for the CSM Cubesat Program will be:
Wednesday, October 15th @ 3PM in Beck 160 (1700 Washington Ave, Golden, CO 80401)
We'll be covering cubesat basics, our program, introducing the "25 team leads, and organizing people into subsystem teams! Our current tentative date to send our first satellite into ? space? is sometime in 2027, very cool!
