SWiC Breakfast with Chemistry Speaker 10/17
Department / Organization: Society of Women in Chemistry
8am 10/17 SWiC invites you to breakfast with the chemistry seminar speaker in Coolbaugh 137
The Society of Women in Chemistry + Allies (SWiC) invites you to have breakfast with the visiting speaker for the Department of Chemistry's weekly seminar in Coolbaugh 137 starting at 8am Friday October 17. This week we are joined by Prof. Raphaële Clément from the Materials Department at the University of California – Santa Barbara. These informal socials are designed to provide opportunities for students and postdocs to meet visiting speakers. There is no set discussion topic: discussions can range from career trajectory, science, work-life balance, diversity in STEM, or anything else. This event is sponsored by SWiC and the Department of Chemistry, and we welcome students, postdocs, and speakers of all identities to the event. If you require an accommodation in order to participate in this event, please contact Theresa Nosel at theresanosel@mines.edu. Advance notice may be necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs. As always, this event is open to anyone!
Attendance of this event will count towards being considered for SWiC's Networking Award at the end of Spring semester!
