Xcel Energy Conducting Drone Power Pole Inspections at Mines

Over the next several weeks Xcel Energy will be conducting routine drone power pole inspections on campus property.
Xcel Energy will be conducting routine drone power pole inspections to reduce wildfire and fire risk on Mines campus property. Over the next few weeks you can expect to see drones around power poles and power lines around campus. Inspection crews will always maintain visual line of sight at all times. Xcel values everyone's privacy. Photos will only be taken of electrical equipment in order to necessary to meet the safety objectives of the inspection.
