"Creating Effective Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Project Planning" - Monday, 10/27, 1:00 pm in Hill Hall 204
Please join us for the Construction Engineering Professor of Practice Candidate Academic Lecture by Dr. Edward Brayton.
ABSTRACT: Dr. Brayton will introduce students to the fundamental processes of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project planning through the creation of logical activity sequences that connect design, procurement, and construction phases. He will explain how to identify preceding, following, and concurrent activities, and how to organize them into clear logic networks that reflect real-world project flow. The presentation also provides step-by-step guidelines for developing precedence diagrams, coordinating vendor and subcontractor activities, and addressing common resource restraints. In addition, by applying these planning techniques, students will learn how to visualize project interdependencies and build a practical foundation for effectively managing EPC project execution and control.
